It's Spring in the Black Hills! Finally. I was scrolling through my feed one day when I saw the most beautiful pictures of the Black Hills taken from the skies. I asked them to guest blog a post to share their business. I'm so excited to share this with you. It's worth getting up early and taking a ride. The following is their post. Enjoy.

What should you expect?

Reservations are required.  We meet our passengers each morning at a central meeting location in Custer, SD.  Passengers will park their vehicles and travel to the launch field in one of our insured Black Hills Balloons vans.  Once we arrive to the field, the crew gets to work unloading and preparing the aircraft while passengers are briefed and have a chance to take photos.  The balloon takes 20 minutes to prepare for flight, and once ready, passengers are requested to board.  The flight is approximately one hour, determined by weather and available landing locations.  Upon landing, our ground crew will pack up the balloon while passengers and pilot celebrate the flight with a complimentary champagne toast, light snacks and a quick story about the origin of hot air ballooning.

We fly daily at sunrise when the winds are calm and consistent.  Flights are weather dependent and at the discretion of the pilot.
